John and Nicky Webb took over Lake Country Speedway July of last year. Throughout the season they continued to make improvements. During the offseason the Webbs and their crew have completely updated the facility and gave it a fresh new start with a new name. What was once a facility on the edge with a huge potential has now become an interest across the area. There has been an outrageous number of calls and e-mails about Southern Oklahoma Speedway. The potential of Southern Oklahoma Speedway is starting to show. The concessions have been updated, the restrooms have been updated, and the track has been reworked to make a safer, faster, and low dust racing surface. The rules have been slightly worked and are now very close to most surrounding race tracks, new tech equipment is now in place, and most of all....CUSTOMER SERVICE IS #1!

We have an exciting schedule with two USMTS modified shows, one being a championship series race, two OCRS sprint car shows, and a SST sprint car show. Enduro racing has been added to the program with two enduro races this year!

Our approach this season is a no-nonsense, bring your heat and race, but let's all have a blast attitude! We will have some of the best drivers in north Texas, Oklahoma, and southern Missouri at our race track this season. In return many programs have been set in place to build the points purse for our drivers. A new rule is drivers must participate in at least 70% of the season to qualify for the points fund. The sales of tires, fuels, tickets, and signs will all contribute as well as a $5 buy in each night that will stay in your class.

We will have many new programs in place for the fans. The good ole' 50/50 tickets are coming back. Numerous entertainment has been scheduled from candy throws for the kids to rides in the new toy for the adults. Oh yeah...our new toy! A two seater modified piloted by John Webb himself. If you look closely at the picture on the left it is the new two seater special built for this program.

The feedback and comments have been awesome! The interest is there and it shows! We would like to thank all of the drivers that have pre-registered, the drivers coming out later to register, and the drivers that just keep up with what's going on. A huge thank you to the fans that have supported this facility and the fans that are yet to come. With the drivers registered we are bound to have some of the best shows in the area! By the way...The BIG 100.... We now have 100 race cars pre-registered in 5 classes!!!!!!!!!! We are very excited and thankful to see our family at SOS is growing and we will continue to improve so we continue to grow! Test and tune is in a little over two weeks on the 17th and opening night and the car show in a little over three weeks on the 24th! We look forward to seeing everyone again very soon!
