Test and Tune March 17th!
Just a friendly reminder the test and tune day is scheduled for March 17th! There will not be any admission fees on both grandstand or pit side. This will also be a great time to send your car through safety pre-tech which will be required before racing. The test and tune will be from 6pm to 11pm. ANYBODY with a dirt track car is welcome to test whether you race here or not and ANYBODY is welcome to come on out to the grandstands. We had a couple SUPR style late models and sprints that are saying they will be there as well! It would be a great time to try out the track. By the way we shouldn't have any dust problems anymore...oh and the track has tested to be quite a bit faster. Hint, Hint!
We would like to thank Brad Fenton GM Superstore in Ardmore, OK for sponsoring an excellent location for this years car show! The car show will be held in the Brad Fenton lot at 320 N. Commerce, Ardmore, OK. The car show will be from 10am to 2pm on the first race day, March 24th. There is plenty of room for the cars as well as an additional lot with plenty of room for haulers and trailers. The show will be judged by public demand. Each class will have a winner and there will also be a show grand champion. All votes will be cast by spectators. For appreciation of participation any driver who brings their car to the show will get $5 off of their pit pass for that evening (drivers only). The track gates will open early at 3pm. Registration and safety pre-tech will be available at both the car show and the track.

Can I get your digits?
This year we have a new rule regarding your race car numbers! We will no longer allow duplicate numbers with a letter used as the separator (letters will still be allowed). We do understand there will be duplicate numbers, they will have to be separated by a third number. For example, two #60 cars enter the program, we will not allow 60 and 60r. If a #60 and 60r enter they will both be allowed to run the program, but one will have to add a third number (ex: 60 and 160r). Sorry for the inconvenience, this is to aid with the new scoring program we have in order. The best way to secure your number is to pre-register! You can pre-register by contacting Nicky Webb at nickywebb@southernoklahomaspeedway.com or giving her a call at (405) 816-4314 during the hours of 9am-5pm Mon-Fri. Registration will be restricted to last years registrars until January 15th. Open registration will start January 16th. The fee for registration is $25. Credit cards, pay pal, cash, or check will be accepted.
Attention Limited Modified Drivers:
Per Hoosier the "IMCA" 500 tire and the "H" 500 tire are the same compound. Therefore, the "H" 500 tire will be legal at Southern Oklahoma Speedway. The rules are updated. The rear valance panel is not required but is optional. However, your car number MUST BE VISIBLE FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE!
Attention Stock Car Drivers:
Through much discussion any USRA or IMCA stock car header will be legal in the stock car class for Southern Oklahoma Speedway. Please see the updated rules.
THE RULES ARE OUT!!!
The rules are now out and it's almost time to get the monsters ready! We have had a few minor changes to help the spectators want to keep on their feet and help the drivers checkbook. The tornados are now a true entry level class. The hobby stocks, stock cars, and limited modifeds are closer to sanction rules. The late models have a couple more engine options. The modifieds will be almost the same as well. Remember your race car numbers are first come first serve. We recommend for you to register at the track soon in order to secure your number.
Points what!...Points Purse!
This year we have put together many programs to get a points purse for ALL CLASSES! Fuel sales, tire sales, and 50/50 tickets are a couple of examples. All drivers will have to participate in 70% of the season races in order to be eligible for the points purse and prize program.
